Saginaw, Michigan – My Member Insurance Agency is proud to announce that Bob Robinson, Senior Vice President of Commercial Lines, has been named the 2026 recipient of the Henry Forsetlund Award, also known as the Agent of the Year Award, presented by Big I Michigan. This prestigious honor recognizes a member who has made outstanding contributions to their agency, their community, and the Big I of Michigan.
Robinson’s career has been defined by leadership, service, and a deep commitment to the independent agency system. After graduating from Ferris State University in 1990 with a degree in insurance, he began his career as an agent before joining Frankenmuth Insurance Company’s IT department, where he trained agents on implementing and using the iBIS quoting system. Through this role, Robinson built strong relationships across the industry and ultimately met his future business partner Dan Wortman – which led to the purchase of the Duclos Insurance Agency in 2003.
As an independent agent, Robinson has served on multiple Agent Advisory Boards throughout his career and continues to serve on Accident Fund’s Board. In his current role as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lines at My Member Insurance Agency, he brings strategic insight and a collaborative approach that supports clients, carrier partners, and team members alike. Robinson has also become more involved with Big I Michigan through his participation with the association’s Political Action Committee, further demonstrating his commitment to advocacy on behalf of independent agents.
